By Oscar Wilde
Directed by Sabin Epstein

July 5 - August 3

The turn of the century brought us some of most treasured and clever tales in literature, and those of the great Oscar Wilde are no exception. His comedic masterpiece follows the exploits of two young men – Jack and Algernon – each masquerading as a libertine named Earnest in order to pursue their lady love. But when they are caught in the act, a true farce unfolds, and a very real Earnest is revealed.

Music & Lyrics by John R. Briggs and Eric Frampton

June 6 - August 5

Shakespeare’s most musical play gets the royal treatment in this eclectic adaptation from the creator of 2010’s smash hit Shrew: the Musical. Two different women grieve the loss of a brother; one swears off men, while the other puts on a pair of trousers and joins them, setting off a comedy of errors that makes for a raucous, rocking good time.

By William Shakespeare
Directed by Richard Garner

June 21 - August 4

All is fair in love and war, and sometimes the two come hand in hand. When the kindly governor of Messina opens his home – and that of his daughter and his niece - to a group of soldiers returning from the front, passions ignite. Romances are born, even between the stubborn rivals Beatrice and Benedick, who have both disavowed love, while secretly harboring feelings for one another. The road to love proves a hilly one, filled with ups and downs, but not without a few laughs along the way.

Tickets for Much Ado About Nothing will go on sale on April 23.

Macbeth

By William Shakespeare
Directed by Raelle Myrick-Hodges
In Partnership with NBAF (National Black Arts Festival)

October 4 - 28

Something wicked this way comes...

Shakespeare’s tale of murderous ambition moves from Scotland to an island setting in this stirring reimagining, where mysticism reigns and true horror unfolds. Commemorating the 75th anniversary of Orson Welles’ dynamic 1936 Voodoo Macbeth, this production features a predominantly African-American cast, including local favorite Neal A. Ghant as Macbeth. Presented in partnership with NBAF (National Black Arts Festival), this show is a celebration of the strength of a good story in changing times.
*Appropriate for ages 12 and up.
